Thor: Ragnarok
Thor Ragnarok draws inspiration from Norse mythology. The subtitle itself of the third adventure of the superhero Marvel refers to the legendary battle between the forces of darkness and light to intervene in defense of planet Earth and its inhabitants, the boastful prince of Asgard Thor ( Chris Hemsworth ) has set aside the noble birth, alien descent and family conflicts with Loki ( Tom Hiddleston), landing on time with a thud at the side of the Avengers colleagues as often as needed. After seeing him challenge the most influential members of the team to raise the legendary Mjöllnir, and gloat in the awareness of being the only one worthy of brandishing, a powerful enemy in a skirt comes forward to take up the challenge and disintegrates the hammer under the unbelieving eyes of the owner. The treacherous Hela ( Cate Blanchett ), returned to freedom after millennia of imprisonment, threatens to unleash her wrath on the kingdom of Odin ( Anthony Hopkins), and the only warrior able to stop it and avert the Ragnarok is disarmed and imprisoned on the other side of the universe. Weakened by the clash with Hela, Thor ended up in the hands of the Grand Master ( Jeff Goldblum ), an avid puppeteer whose favourite pastime is to duel lower life forms in an intergalactic arena. But the opponent that fate reserves to the god of thunder are an old acquaintance, the scientist Bruce Banner ( Mark Ruffalo ), in the most prominent and most angry version.
